J. Herbin

Herbin 1798 Shimmer Ink, Kyanite du Népal

Regular price $38.50
Kyanite is a vivid turquoise-blue. It is magnified by a cloud of silver glitter for powerful, elegant writing.  Silver shimmer throughout the ink adds a beautiful, lustrous finish as you write. Each bottle is hand-sealed with wax at the cap and stamped with a "1798" emblem on the front. Packaged in a special collector’s edition box. Each rich, saturated color in the collection is infused with shimmering silver flecks, adding a touch of brilliance to every stroke.

1798 marks an important chapter in the history of Jacques Herbin. As the French Revolution came to a close, the company, originally founded in 1670, was entering a period of growth. That year, they relocated to expand their production and broaden the reach of their inks and sealing wax.

Perfectly suited for fountain pens, rollerball pens, glass nibs, and dip pens.

Founded in 1670, J. Herbin is one of the world’s oldest and most revered names in fine inks and sealing wax. With a rich heritage rooted in craftsmanship and innovation, the brand has been a favorite among writers, artists, and calligraphers for centuries. Known for its high-quality fountain pen inks, including the renowned 1670 Anniversary and Herbin collections, J. Herbin combines tradition with modernity to create vibrant, smooth-flowing colors.

Because of the shimmer particles, this ink may occasionally cause slower ink flow in some pens. Be sure to give the bottle a good shake before filling, and gently roll your pen now and then to keep the shimmer evenly distributed. Regular cleaning is a must to keep everything flowing smoothly and prevent clogs.
