The 1670 Anniversary Collection celebrates the life of the 17th-century French adventurer, Jacques Herbin. Sailing from India, Monsieur Herbin arrived home to Paris with formulas for the now-famous Herbin inks and sealing waxes. Enhanced with a luxurious, golden metallic sheen, these highly saturated inks will add an elegant luster to all your writing.
The deep blue ink with a golden sheen recalls the sea voyages of Herbin to the Mughal Empire of India. In those days India was a primary supplier of indigo dye. Bleu Ocean takes its inspiration from those adventurous journeys.
Founded in 1670, J. Herbin is one of the world’s oldest and most revered names in fine inks and sealing wax. With a rich heritage rooted in craftsmanship and innovation, the brand has been a favorite among writers, artists, and calligraphers for centuries. Known for its high-quality fountain pen inks, including the renowned 1670 Anniversary and Herbin collections, J. Herbin combines tradition with modernity to create vibrant, smooth-flowing colors.
A note about shimmer inks
Because of the shimmer particles, this ink may occasionally cause slower ink flow in some pens. Be sure to give the bottle a good shake before filling, and gently roll your pen now and then to keep the shimmer evenly distributed. Regular cleaning is a must to keep everything flowing smoothly and prevent clogs.
Additional Information
Aggitate the ink in the bottle gently before use. When the ink is in your pen, rolle it around a bit before using to make sure the particles are evenly distributed. The bits of glitter can clog your nib, so pay special attention to cleaning your nib after use.
