Korea Special Series Ink, Turtle Ship

Regular price $15.00
Part of the Colorverse Korea Special Ink collection, Turtle Ship is a rich, stormy grey ink with soft shading and subtle complexity. It has a medium flow and takes about 40 seconds to dry, using a medium nib on Rhodia paper. It's great for everyday use with a little something special and historic.

This ink pays tribute to Tongyeong, a coastal city in South Gyeongsang Province that served as a major naval base during Korea’s Jo-sun Dynasty. It played a key role in defending against the Japanese invasion of 1592, most famously with the legendary turtle ship—a heavily armored warship that helped turn the tide.

The ink itself echoes the strength and mystery of the turtle ship: a deep grey that leans toward achromatic, but with hints of blue at the edges and unexpected touches of red in broader applications. It’s quietly dramatic, layered, and totally unique.
