To enjoy the Sheen effect in all its glory, we recommend high-quality, non-absorbent writing paper and fountain pen with generous ink flow and a wide nib. The effect is particularly noticeable when you write with a glass pen or calligraphy pen, or use a refillable brush pen. To show off just the base color without Sheen, use a more absorbent paper.
