Calico Critters is a beloved line of charming animal figurines and detailed playsets that inspire imaginative storytelling and creative play.

They were originally launched in Japan in 1985 as Sylvanian Families. The brand quickly gained worldwide popularity for its intricately designed figures, cozy homes, and heartwarming themes of family and friendship. In the United States, however, the line is marketed under the name Calico Critters, offering the same charming characters and detailed homes, but with branding tailored to the U.S. market.

With their soft, flocked fur and endearing personalities, or being called Sylvanian Families or Calico Critters, they continue to delight children and collectors alike. Rooted in nostalgia yet always evolving, these timeless toys invite fans to build their own miniature worlds filled with adventure, love, and community.
