Hobonichi Techo

iyo okumi: A Story About Me Hobonichi Techo Weeks 2026 Planner

Regular price $38.00
The Hobonichi Techo is one of Japan’s most beloved planners, known for being more than just a calendar. It’s a versatile space for everyday life, whether you use it as a diary, sketchbook, scrapbook, or simply a place to jot down thoughts. Each book is made with Tomoe River paper, a paper that’s incredibly thin and lightweight yet strong enough to handle ink without bleeding through.

The Hobonichi Weeks is a compact planner designed to go everywhere with you. Shaped like a long wallet, it slips easily into bags or jacket pockets without taking up much space. Inside, each weekly spread pairs a Monday–Sunday calendar on the left with graph paper on the right - perfect for notes, sketches, or to-do lists. At the bottom of each page, you’ll also find one of Hobonichi’s well-loved quotes. Despite its slim profile, the Weeks includes plenty of extra graph-ruled pages in the back for added notes. Unlike other Hobonichi planners, the Weeks comes with its own cover built in, available in a variety of designs, so no separate cover is needed.

This Weeks cover is inspired by an embroidered piece created by embroidery artist and illustrator Iyo Okumi.

Okumi’s work often draws from the everyday - animals, plants, and small, familiar moments - woven together into dreamy, romantic designs that reflect her unique perspective.

For this edition, titled A Story About Me, one of her hand-embroidered works has been beautifully reproduced. A white dog resting in the grass and a quiet black cat beside it are framed by a charming lace border of wildflowers and butterflies. The fine texture of their fur is captured through the delicate stitches of embroidery, while a silver-foil bouquet crowns the design, catching the light with a gentle shimmer.

The smooth, glossy finish of the Weeks makes every detail of the embroidery stand out, with "2026" pressed in silver foil for an elegant touch. On the back, wrapped threads appear - perhaps a nod to the materials used in creating the embroidery itself.
